At one time the modular home industry was very similar to the manufactured industry where you were allowed to make a color selection of blue; green; brown or mauve. The system built housing industry now allows complete customization of floor plans and a mammoth selection of upgrades and options. Our section on standard and custom options will allow you upgrade your home and improve the overall value to your new abode.

Supplied and Installed on Site by Others

There are times where the factory is not able to install some of the options you desire for your new home. The question many people as is why can't the factory do it all. Often factories will opt out of installing building components outside of the expertise. Other times it's a price issues where the upgrade can be supplied and installed on site for a lower price than the factory price. Another big reason is the potential for the upgrades to be damaged during delivery of the modules over rough interstate highways. If a factory does not offer the upgrade you desire, your local builder can supply and install these features on site. Remember, the more a factory installs the more money they will make on the home, if they can't or won't install an item, they have everyone's best interest in sight. This include themselves, the builder or dealer and the home buyer themselves.
