Inventory When the modules for your home are delivered it is very important to complete an inventory of all ship loose items delivered with the home. An inventory list will include all of the items the factory is supplying with the home. This includes both standard items, upgrades and specially costed items the factory has not installed in the home. The inventory process can take up to five hours depending on how the ship loose items are packed in the home. Inexperienced builders will be so happy to have their home delivered that they do not take the time to inventory the home. The Importance of Inventory Modular home factories usually have a stipulation that the builder or dealer is responsible for completing an inventory of all ship loose items. At times, the modules will be shipped short due to availability issues. This is nothing to be alarmed about, most materials will be able to be purchased locally. Your builder and or dealer will be credited the amount for these site purchased items. The most important components and materials to be inventoried include all of the items to set the home. This includes: shingles, special bolts for cathedral ceilings and any other components as large as dormers. If items are shipped loose for the set, expensive delays could add to your builder's modular home costs. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
