Modular home construction includes completing preliminary site work, modular home construction in the factory, setting the modules on the foundation and completion of the modular home Each stage of constructing modular homes is completed in a systematic order which saves construction time and man power. Modular Home Preliminary Site Work

Preliminary site work includes clearing the lot, excavations, foundation installation and providing access to the site for the modular home to be delivered. Preliminary site work is the sole responsibility of the general contractor.

Modular Home Factory Construction

Modular homes can be built or constructed in most factories in around five days. So why does it take four weeks for a modular home to be delivered. Prefab home factories operate with just in time ordering. Often it takes three to four weeks for special materials to be ordered for you modular home. Once all of the materials and components for your modular home are delivered to the factory, your home will go on line to be constructed. The factory will complete the framing, electrical, roofing, kitchens, baths, cabinetry, counter tops, drywall, window and door trim, installation of most doors and windows and etc.

Modular Home Site Construction and Completion

The process to finish a modular is shortened by the factory completing many tasks that would have been completed in the field. Before the modules are delivered, the site work and foundation installation will need to be completed. After the modules are delivered, the house will be set and buttoned up.
